





The Scottish Collie Club’s annual programme of events includes:
Annual General Meeting —
On alternate years presentations are made to the winners of Best Kennel, Best Dog, Best Progeny and Best Puppy, all competitions run jointly with the Scottish Collie Club, and confined to members of either club who are also resident in Scotland.
Late Spring Open Show — now occupying our original Championship Show dates, with
a single judge for Rough
Collies — currently held at the Thornhill Community Centre,
Thornhill
Road, Falkirk, FK2 7AE.
Scottish Collie of the Year with Dinner Dance — a social event with an element of
friendly competition to find the best collie from winners at Scottish Open and Championship
Shows. The competition to take place in the afternoon, with outside facilities on
grass if weather permits, and followed in the
evening by a dinner and dancing. Introduced
in 2007 this
event is limited to club members, and currently held at the Swallow Tinto
Hotel, Biggad Road, Symington, South Lanarkshire, ML12 6FT.
Championship Show for Rough Collies only, unbenched with outside rings if weather
permits — currently held at the
Lawrie and Symington Agricultural Centre, A73, Lanark,
ML11 9AX.
Christmas Open Show for Rough Collies where exhibitors
and friends can enjoy a pre
Christmas and Hogmanay celebration with their Collies — to be held at the Carronshore
Community
Centre, Main Street, Carronshore, Falkirk, Stirlingshire, FK2 8EY for the first time
in 2008.
