Championship Show — including the presentation of

classes for Rough
Collies only with two judges, one for each sex, but utilising
a
single ring allowing a staggered arrival and departure for
those exhibitors exhibiting
a single sex, while encouraging
a more relaxed experience for those with a team,
but without
the attendants necessary to watch the progress of two rings at the same
time. Currently held at the Birtley Leisure Centre, Durham Road, Birtley, County
Durham, DH3 2TB.
Autumn Open Show for Rough Collies — currently held at the Trimdon Village Hall, 1 Wynyard Road, Trimdon, County Durham, TS29 6JG — with its airy aspect and home made refreshments offering a traditional Goerdie welcome to exhibitors and friend alike.
The Northumberland and Durham Collie Club annually offer two points trophies to members. The Tom Purvis Memorial Trophy on the right presented to the Rough Collie gaining the most points at the Club’s three shows, while the Damascus Trophy, presented by Tom Purvis’ son in memory of Tom’s famous sable and white dog Ch Danvis Damascus, is confined to puppies winning from either Minor Puppy or Puppy classes at the Club’s three shows
